Chimera

The bus was moving at a slow pace. Always visibly irritated at the driver, today Uma did not care for the speed of the bus. She sat in a pensive mood, staring out of the window, lost in her own thoughts. Her thoughts refused to leave her mind reflecting on the earlier day’s incident, which had shaken her out of a seemingly comfortable position.

The new avataar of her dad was still fresh in her mind, which was frightening for her to accept. It had shaken the very foundations of her beliefs about a happy family. She failed to understand if her earlier beliefs of her father were illusions or the present ones were? Her mind was too foggy to offer her any explanations.
