The present paper “Corpus Work In Vocabulary Teaching” in the light of all the technological development brings together the significance of vocabulary, its core properties, its potentiality in the regular use of daily life, the power it embeds with its usage, the word knowledge that encompasses the environment and association it occurs in, its frequency of occurrence, its dominance in acquiring the basic proficiency like the ability to narrate, describe, argue, and improve the general proficiency in a particular language and its role in understanding some specialized texts that differ in terms of their register, discourse, genre etc, and distinguishing itself between the formal and informal expressions. Thus every word is power packed when used at the right place and in the right time.
