Writing is an important skill for the academic growth. A basic understanding of writing and a commitment to writing well in all situations is needed as a professional. So it is rightly called as one of the productive skills. But it is vital to be noted that of all the four skills (L, S, R, W), most of the students in colleges lack particularly in writing skill. It is the fact that writing skill consumes time and practise to develop, but it has numerous opportunities in the professional market. To enhance this writing skill, Activity-Based learning is more helpful when compared to the traditional methods. This paper titled “Improving the English writing skills of college students through Activity Learning” starts with the definitions of both writing and activity-based approach and tells the importance of writing skill and ends with the benefits of learning through activities.
