Portrayal of Generation Gap in Chetan Bhagat’s Novels

Abstract:

The present paper aims at analyzing generation gap in popular novels of Chetan Bhagat. He  being writer of modern outlook has portrayed the issues of modern India especially the modern youth for whom he has dedicated his whole writings with the purpose to enable them to face the difficult situation with ease and learn to adopt  the most awkward situations of life. Hence the paper has been divided into two segments. In the first part the brief introduction of his life and contribution has been presented and the second segment deals with the assessment of his novels to highlight different characters facing the problems of generation gap in contemporary India. The paper explores the struggles of the characters and how they pass through such situations.
