The present paper explores the issue of female sexuality. The patriarchy has set certain norms to control female sexuality. The sexuality of women is considered passive and if she expresses her sexual desires she is considered a pervert. Female sexuality has been ignored in Hindi Cinema but after the advent of globalization some film makers with liberal attitudes have raised the issue of female sexuality and put forward that women has sexual desires and they need sexual autonomy. The two films discussed in the paper present women who expresses their sexual desires and challenges the patriarchal norms.
