ABSTRACT

The purpose of this research to discover the Refection of Partition in the novels of Bapsi Sidhwa and Attia Hosain.The novel Ice-Candy-Man written by Bapsi Sidhwa . It mainly focuses on partition between India and Pakistan and main theme and other significant theme is about the growth and development of Lenny, an eight year old girl, who from an innocent child matures into teenager, experiencing the evils in the world.The novel The Sunlight on a Broken Column written by Attia Hosain. This novel also deal with the Partition and feminism.

To conclude, the novels present the vivid portrayal of the horrors of partition, but also the portrayal of human relationship and how they are affected by the partition decisions.
