This paper in its present form is the result of a study on the dogmas and superstitions that are commonly seen and heard all around us. It would tentatively deal with the violence, injustice and inhuman torture growing rapidly and an ardent need of higher education for its eradication. The work would only be a brief study of witch-hunting and its relation to higher education and the degradable consequences thereof. It would also highlight the fact that the educationally backward areas, so to speak, the rural and tribal areas are the worst sufferers.
