Abstract: English language becomes a symbolic tool of power and influence. The role of English language is important in terms of power relationships both at interpersonal and wider societal level. The use of English language provides access to knowledge and also it provides access to learning opportunities. But these factors seem far-out among the less fortunate because teaching and learning English language is not only an obstacle for them but it becomes a phobia also. In rural schools, madrasas and even in government schools English is treated just as a subject which has to be passed out in examination only. So, these pupils are lacking sufficient competence of English language skills because of poor learning environment in classroom and they become less fortunate to find a good job and better opportunities outside the classroom. Therefore, after making a review, this paper tries to unleash the power of English language by presenting some suggestions so that English language learners can empower themselves, get better chances beyond the borders also and make them fortunate.

Keywords: English Language Teaching, Unleash the Power, Empowerment, Less Fortunate.
