Feminist in Chetan Bhagat’s Novel One Indian Girl
Abstract
Chetan Bhagat born on 22 April 1974. He is a Indian author journalist, screenwriter,
television personality and motivational speaker, known for his English language novels about
young urban middle class Indian. ChetanBhagat won the film fare award for best screenplay for
kai po che! At the 59th film fare award in January 2014.
In 2008, the New York Times called him ‘the biggest –selling author in indian’s history’,
a position he maintained until date. Almost all his books have been adapted into hit Bolly wood
films. He is also a film fare-award- winning screenplay writer.
TIME magazine named him as one of the 100 most influential people in the world and
fast company, USA, listed him as one of the 100 most creative people in business globally. His
columns in The Times of India and Dainik Bhaskar are amongst the most widely read in the
country. He is also one of the country’s leading motivational speakers and hosted several TV
shows. Despite all the above, he is only human and can be totally stupid sometimes.
