It is often referred with Indo-Anglian literature in which the works from post-colonial movement is included. There are many significant themes which talks about racism, diasporic, alienation, inequality, feminism. Among these, feminism is the basic concept to be discussed in the first palace. Speaking of feminism, many people take it in a wrong way. They consider feminism is only meant for women. Many regard it only as a movement. But it is not so. Some would say that feminism is just to define, personal and social equalities of sexes. In short, Gender equality. This doesn’t give the complete state of feminism as it is much more than that. Feminism is not only about the genders that do things equally inspire of the nature of the deeds. If a male does a bad thing, women do it so, calling it as Feminism. But the real quality of feminism lies in the fact that it is one where women can think and work and do according to her wish, independently without any clutches. Feminism is also to fulfill her little own dreams also. There are so many authors who have enriched their works based on this thought some to them are Arundhati Roy’s, Anita Desai, among them sudha murthy’s ‘mahaswetha’ stands in its own way.
