The aim of this paper is to bring out the sufferings of transgenders in the society. There are many suppressed people like Dalits, women, or some minorities but transgenders suffer more than that. Here in the novel I am Vidya, it is clearly focused how transgenders faced many issues in the society at all levels. It clearly pictures the life of Vidya who suffers a lot to expose her identity.  This paper shows how she is ill-treated and insulted by people and how she is prohibited to live in her own will. Through this study I would lay bare how transgenders suffers to make their survival in the society.
