SCARS OF FONDNESS
My soul begins wither to
Unsupported by a weary body
Incapable of savouring joy in thy absence;
Darkness descended my eyes
Long lost its tempting glow.
Gone were the days
Where solitude blissed;
Being oblivious to the surroundings
Oh!! Good fortune lost beyond redemption,
Self-containment being a paradise
And myself its master.
Her embrace of tenderness
Was left unanswered with scorn;
Gaze of love and fondness
Left in me unhealed scars
I wandered in the garb of a comatose,
Curse to be born and reborn, eternally
With a sole purpose to
Heal the scars her affection had left.
Repeated failures took me,
To where it all began
I hastened with all my might
Only to find her numb
Deserted in the midst of my indifference
Only to be redeemed with a
Touch of true love.
