Abstract

The postmodern Drama in English is sensitive towards the arrangement, structure, presentation and variety. Drama of the post-modern period has been more courageous than the poetry and novel as it sharply focuses on all the aspects than its counterpart forms do. It has been more innovative in technique, more shocking in challenging societal and moral agreements. According to Aristotle, Art is mimetic in nature as it replicates the society. The impact of culture on literature and its genres is unquestionable as it inevitably has a profound role in shaping the attitudes, actions and behavior of the people towards orthodox beliefs in particular societies. The reflection of the post modernistic tendencies is visible in the contemporary literature throughout the world.
