Developing Thesaurus Construction through Tematres for the College Libraries Under The University of Burdwan

Abstract

This paper discusses the thesaurus construction through tematres for the integrated library management and retrieval system towards next level automated and digital library system. The different terms associated with the integrated systems like related terms, narrower terms and subordinated terms. Appart from these librtary can easily managed their resources and bibliographic information for the users as well as library professionals including different services in different bibliographical fields like Author, Title, Subject, Year of Publications, and etc. The necessary parameters is to be selected on the basis of global recommendations like IFLA Working recommendations, ILS-DI recommendations, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Request for Proposal (RFP). The all tasks are to be performed on Linux based Ubuntu operating system and finally how to generate the ISO file in Ubuntu for the College Libraries under the University of Burdwan.
