Abstract

Prajwal Parajuly’s The Gurkha’s Daughter traces the complex lives of people caught in a diasporic atmosphere by highlighting the human weaknesses which an individual realises and then with hope converts it into positive livelihood. This paper studies the character of different short story and provides a view to the socio-political issues of the modern era and how the characters fights their way out of the conditions they are put into.
