BLACK PANTHER: INTERNAL AND GLOBAL STANDPOINT
Abstract
The question of what precisely is the term ‘tribe’ is an analogy in itself. Shuttling between the idea of backward and a community, a tribe becomes a blank canvas for interpretations. Black Panther tells the story of the invisible but very much palpable tension between progressive and tell-tale regression of tribes. Though unmistakably about the tension, the film makes no direct reference to the several levels of alienation. Despite the conscious absence, the reference is detectable. To situate the film as a social mirror, the paper constitutes primary and secondary resources, including the original screenplay, film genre-politic, statements by the director Ryan Coogler.
