Abstract

"There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you." says Maya Angelou, poet, memoirist, and civil rights activist. By choosing not to tell the story one doesn’t merely bear the anguish but does an injustice. As Laura Holloway, Founder & Chief of The Storyteller Agency puts it “Storytelling is our obligation to the next generation.” Time has changed and people no longer speak much.  This is an age of snaps. The whole globe is overflowing with photographs. Children of today peep into the past, freeze the present and have a look at the future through photographs. Photographs kindle memories, let you peek into the future and past but do they give you ‘real’ ‘stories? Are they good substitutes for stories or story tellers?
